What a night! I thought I was going to hack my lungs out! I woke up numerous times coughing (unproductively for the most part). It was by far the worst episode of coughing yet. Maybe my lungs don't care for that cold, clean, desert mountain air. Oh well. Surprisingly, or perhaps not, given my sleepus interruptus, I didn't wake up until 9:15. Yikes! Gotta get going! I discovered one important thing though. While the pile of blankets I was using provided adequate warmth (I think it got down to just below 40°), wherever I wasn't "tucked-in", and the "outside" air could get in, was where I still felt the coldness of the night. So, proper bedding arrangement, and not just materials, is key.
